To develop the mental faculties and talents of the students, extracurricular activities are extensively organized. Games such as Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Scouting and Athletics etc. are practiced and played under the guidance of a well experienced Physical Training Instructors, especially employed for this purpose.
The Woodland School actively participates in Inter-School Competitions of different nature, conducted by The Board of Secondary Education, Karachi and other different authorities at local, national and international level. Events such as, Plantation Week, Colour Day, Students Day, Milad Sharif, Eid-e-Milad, Farewell Parties, Picnic, Educational Excursions, Election of Head Boys and Head Girls, Debates, Annual Elocution Contest etc are some of the innumerable activities taking place every year. The Woodland Secondary School annually publishes a newsletter highlighting the year’s activities.
Some of the other activities our students are engaged in, include; participation along with six other renowned schools of Karachi, in the cultural programme at Shahi-Qila Lahore by UNESCO, Sketching and Drawing Competition, Online General Knowledge Competition organized by the British Council Karachi, Career online by GEO TV, SAF Games Torch Light Ceremony organized by Sindh Government, Junior Football Competition organized by Hamdard Public School Karachi, Roshni Ka Safar organized by ARY Media, Visit to Governor House Sindh, Visit to PSO House Karachi, Excursions to PAF Museum, Pepsi Factory, Maritime Museum, PTV Centre, Quaid’s Mausoleum and many other important and historical places in and outside Karachi.
